In a gruesome incident, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police arrested a 24-year-old woman who allegedly killed her boyfriend's 11-year-old son who, according to the accused, was a hindrance in relationship with her partner.
According to police, the accused, who has been identified as Pooja, allegedly tried killing the minor by strangulating when he was asleep.and dumped his body later inside the box of their bed and fled the scene. It has been reported that the accused admitted the crime.
As per media reports, Pooja, a resident of West Delhi's Ranhola, was in a live-in relationship with Jitender.
After combing through footages received from around 300 CCTV installed across several locations, the police arrested Pooja Kumari on Sunday in Bakkarwala after officials.

About the incident
It has been reported that Delhi Police acted upon receiving information from BLK Hospital that a boy had been brought dead with marks of strangulation around his neck.
"On 10/08/2023, a minor male child, aged 11 years, was brutally murdered by strangulating and his dead body was found concealed inside a bed. Accordingly, an FIR, under section 302 IPC, was registered at Police Station Inderpuri," Delhi Police stated.
"CTV footage was analysed and it transpired from the footage that the last person who visited the house of the deceased was one lady, namely Pooja," they added. The police further said that after a search at her parent’s house as well as relatives', they zeroed on possible hideouts and launched a search to nab her.

After prem[liminary investigation, police found that Pooja was reportedly married to the father of the deceased minor, but Jitender was already married and had assured Pooja of getting a divorce from his first wife.
After a while, Jitender refused to get a divorce and from December, 2022, Jitender resumed living with his first wife.
