A 35-year-old woman on Thursday filed a complaint aginst a man at Delhi's Bharat Nagar police station who allegedly threw acid or some other chemical at her neck.
It has been reported that the victim sustained burn injuries on her neck and hand and her clothes were allegedly burnt in the incident too.
According to the woman, she was setting up her shop in the market when an unknown individual threw the chemical substance at her.
The preliminary probe suggested that the accused threw some chemical or acid from behind the victim.
The police are probing whether it was a chemical or another substance.

A hunt to apprehend the accused is underway.
