Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, got married to his boyfriend Oliver Mulherin recently in an intimate seaside ceremony in a Hawaiian ceremony. The 38-year-old OpenAI CEO had kept his relationship private for a long time.
A viral photo showed Altman and Mulherin, dressed in white shirts, exchanging rings at the undisclosed venue which had floral decorations. Altman's brother Jack could be seen officiating the ceremony in the pictures.
While many believed their wedding image was AI-generated, a person who attended the ceremony said that the photos were real, Business Insider reported.
Sam Altman, who grew up in a "middle-class Jewish family”, was also seen in the wedding photos breaking glass with his partner, as is done in a Jewish wedding ritual.

Sam Altman's longtime partner Oliver Mulherin is an Australian software engineer with a degree in computer science from the University of Melbourne. The two were seen for the first time at the White House at the dinner for PM Narendra Modi last year in June.
In a recent interview with New York Magazine, Altman had said that they want to have children soon.
