The fifth instalment of the Housefull franchise, led by Akshay Kumar, hit the theatres on June 6. Though the film opened to mixed reviews, it had a promising start at the box office. On Day 2 and 3, it saw a growth in its collections, but on its first Monday, Day 4, Housefull 5 witnessed a huge slump. However, it crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in just four days of its release.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the 'killer comedy' collected Rs 13.5 crore (early estimates) on Day 4. Housefull 5’s total box office collection in India now stands at Rs 101 crore.
It had an overall 19.78% Hindi occupancy on Monday. Night shows had the highest occupancy of 26.24% and morning shows recorded minimum occupancy of just 8.88%. Afternoon shows and evening shows witnessed a footfall of 21.54% and 22.44%, respectively.
Housefull 5, which was reportedly made on a whopping budget of Rs 225 crore, has already surpassed the box office collections of Akshay Kumar’s this year release Kesari Chapter 2, which earned Rs 92 crore.
By entering the Rs 100 crore club, it has also joined this year's releases- Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2, Salman Khan’s Sikandar, and Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava.
Interestingly, Housefull 5 was released with two different climaxes, Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B. So, it might have helped the movie to rake in more money.
Alongside Akshay Kumar, Housefull 5 has an ensemble cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Soundarya Sharma, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Ranjeet, Johny Lever, Chunky Panday, Dino Morea, Shreyas Talpade, and Nikitin Dheer.
It has been directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala’s production banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
