Functioning as a national innovation nucleus, the Centre will leverage VTU’s expansive academic network of 212 affiliated institutions, over 400,000 students, and more than 20,000 PhD-qualified researchers. This academic strength, coupled with TCOE India’s strong industry interface, will facilitate translational research, foster entrepreneurship, and enable large-scale skill development in emerging technology areas.

Key highlights of the event include:

  • Signing of strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with industry leaders

The CoE will house startup incubation units and domain-specific skill development centres, co-developed with industry stakeholders such as Televerge, Tejas Networks, VVDN Technologies, Keysight Technologies, and the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC).

With active participation from 20+ startups, 30+ academic institutions, and multiple technology partners, the VTU-VRIF-TCOE Hub and Spoke of Excellence is poised to play a catalytic role in accelerating India’s digital transformation and innovation-driven economy.
