Jannik Sinner overcame pre-match injury concerns to secure a dominant quarter-final victory against Ben Shelton on Wednesday afternoon at Wimbledon. The top-ranked player in the PIF ATP Rankings delivered a solid performance, winning the match 7-6(2), 6-4, 6-4 and advancing to the semi-finals of the grass court major for the second time. Sinner, who had recently dealt with an elbow injury after falling behind by two sets in his previous match against Grigor Dimitrov—who ultimately retired—quickly put any serious concerns about his arm to rest. He effectively neutralised Shelton’s powerful game during the two hours and 19 minutes of play on No. 1 Court.
