It is 4-2 for Alcaraz right now. Sinner needs to break Alcaraz at least once to keep this set competitive. Alcaraz, though, looks in no mood to drop the intensity. His forehand, drop shots are falling right where he wants and Sinner is assisting him just a little by some unforced errors.

Another break and Alcaraz is all over Sinner tonight! He is giving the world number one no chance. It is 5-2 now. Alcaraz just a game away from clinching the first set and he seems to be doing it with ease.

There comes another slam into the net for Sinner and with that Carlos Alcaraz wins the opening set of this men's singles final. Alcaraz has been on the top of his game but the same can not be said about Sinner as his unforced errors coupled with a near-perfect display from Alcaraz see the first set go to the Spaniard 6-2.

It is 1-1 in the second set. Alcaraz wins the second game without dropping a point and even in the first game he had reached break point but Sinner managed to claw his way back.

Sinner gets the break! His first one of the night and that will pave the way for this match to get interesting. It is 3-1 to Sinner in this second set and the top seed now needs to consolidate on this break to go ahead and win the set to tie scores at 1-1. Can he do it?

4-2 to Sinner currently but Alcaraz's game has suddenly dropped. He made two unforced errors in the opening set but in this set, he has already made seven. This has given Sinner the way to sneak back into this game.

Jannik Sinner bounce back in style. Alcaraz was a bit erratic and Sinner is turning the game around. He takes the second set 6-3 and Alcaraz will have to up his game now because his opponent certainly has.

It is 1-1 in the fourth set. Sinner started with a win in the first game and Alcaraz has drawn level with his own brilliance in the second game.
