In Super Bowl 2015, with 26 seconds left on the clock, the Seattle Seahawks were down 28-24 and sitting on the Patriots' 1-yard line. Most of the world expected them to hand the ball to "Beast Mode" Marshawn Lynch for a championship-winning touchdown.

Instead, Seattle opted to pass. Quarterback Russell Wilson threw a quick slant toward Ricardo Lockette, but undrafted rookie Malcolm Butler read the play perfectly, jumped the route, and intercepted the ball.

The Patriots secured their 4th title, and the Seahawks were left with a heartbreak that defined a generation.

Believe it or not, this is the first Super Bowl in history to be played on February 8th. Previously, the latest a Super Bowl had ever been held was February 7th (Super Bowls 50 and LV).

Recent Grammy Award winner, Bad Bunny will light up the stage at the halftime shown in the Super Bowl rematch between Patriots and Seahawks on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio has won two major awards at the Grammy last Sunday - 'Best Musica Urbana Album' and 'Album of the Year' for "DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS". The performance is schedule to start some time after the second quarter of the match.

After the national anthem sung by Charlie Puth, the players are out of the lockers and on the field, and the toss is done. New England have won the toss and opted to defer. Seattle take the kick-off to get the Super Bowl 60 underway!

The first score of the Super Bowl 60 as Myers gets a field goal from 33 yards for the Seahawks. Credit to the Patriots defence play to limit the Seahawks to just a field goal after a good bit of play.

An excellent bit of play that had everything! A chaotic sequence saw Sam Darnold narrowly evade a sack to find a wide-open Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but the off-balance heave couldn't be secured. What nearly resulted in a brilliant touchdown instead forced a Seattle punt.

The first quater comes to an end, and Maye's early field goal remains the difference between the two teams in what has been a frantic 15 mintues of play.

A couple of big gains from Walker who runs down the sideline to take Seattle into the red zone. However, the second down hits one of the Patriots helmets and goes awry. In the fourth down, Myers leans into the kick and scores a field goal to make it six-nothing.

Walker has been Seahawks' best player so far, receving the ball often and trying to make runs down the sdide line. A good shout for MVP? A good hit from Spillane to stop Walker's third-down catch, though.

There has never been a Super Bowl without a first-half penalty, and we get the first yellow flag of the night, with Campbell having a false start. A failed punt by the Patriots towards Shaheed sums up their performance – lots of promise but no result yet.

After a failed review, Seattle almost get a touchdown, but Gonzalez does very w ell to intercept it in the last moment. Myers has another chance and scores the third field goal.

That's the end of the half and it's the second successive shutout at the break in Super Bowl. Time for the half-time show, in which the healdine is Bad Bunny.

Bad Bunny begins his 15-minute half-time show set, which will the first one in Super Bowl's history to be entirely in Spanish. There's a jungel theme, it seems, which the Puetro RIcan rapper going through a series of maze-like lanes while performing. Lively performance so far.

After Bad Bunny, it's Lady Gaga who turns up with a high-spirited rendition of Die WIth A Smile. There's a distinct Hispanic taste to the perfomance as Gaga dances with Bad Bunny, who ciontnues the set.

Bad Bunny ends what was a really energetic half-time show with a message of unity, saying "God Bless America" and naming all the North and South American countries. Time for us to focus on the American football again.

And away we go, with a 40-yard-pickup from the New England kicker. It has been a poor first half from the Patriots, but will it change in what has been one of the most low-scoring Super Bowls in recent memory?

Brilliant throw by Darnold from the pocket under immense pressure, and it's a clean catch by Shaheed to give Seattle first down. Darnold comes up big again with a brilliant 11-yard carry. In the next play, the ball is passed to Walker, who runs a 20yard dash down the sidelines – he has been superb tonight. Timeout call from New England.

Myers equals a Super Bowl record by scoring his fourth field goal of the night, and extends Seattle's lead with his 41-yard effort.

Patriots finally manage to get the better of Darnolds, with Darnold being sacked by Malton Williams. The New England defence has the upper hand now. There's a yellow flag as Seattle are penalised for a push on the back.

With 10 seconds left, Maye makes an unwanted NFL record as he records his 20th postseason sack. The ball falls to the ground and is picked up by Murphy – the first turnover of this Super Bowl match. The Patriots have been completely toothless in attack.

Touchdown for Seattle, and they are running away with the contest!! Brilliant play from Darnold in the red zone, who found Barner on the left edge, making for a simple run for the tight end. Myers gets the extra point.

Touchdown by the Patriots. Back-to-back brilliant throws by Maye leads to a terrific catch by Hollins, and Borregales gets the extra point. These are the kind of plays that the New England fans would have loved to see from their rookie QB all night long.

Everything opens up for Maye to make a booming run and earning the first down. However, there's another turnover in the New England territory as Love intercepts a cross that was way short. Maye's shoulder is definitely not at a 100%.

Myers is good from 26 yards as he gets his fifth field goal of the night – a Super Bowl record. The Seahawks have more than one hand on the Lombardi Trophy at the moment.

Brilliant hit by Witherspoon to get a turnover of possesion from Maye, and Nwosu picks it up and runs to the end zone for a touchdown. The result looks done and dusted now.

Strong arm from Stevenson to pick up a low throw from Maye, and he is wide open to run into the end zone for a touchdown. The Patriots attempt a two-point conversion but it's incomplete.

A good pass to Walker, who makes a dashing run from the half-way line to the end zone. However, his celebrations are cut short as the ref calls play back for a yellow flag.

The time runs out, and for the second time in their history, the Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions! Mike Macdonald, in his second season as coach, lifts the trophy. There's tears from the coach and the players as the confetti rolls down.
