India's Wangsu Nyeman posted a score of 9.573 to finish 15th in the Wushu Women's Changquan final, while Hong Kong's SHAM Hui Yu Lydia clinched the top spot with 9.713 points.

India's men's team put up a commanding performance against Japan in the sepaktakraw group stage encounter at the 2026 Asian Games. After claiming a tightly contested first set 15-13, India cruised through the second set 15-9 to seal a comprehensive victory. India now lead the tie 1-0.

Action is underway at Sky Hall Toyota as India faces Pakistan in the Women's Team Group F encounter. In the opening match, Sutirtha Mukherjee gave India a flying start, defeating Pakistan's Aleena Khan in straight games (11-3, 11-3, 11-4). India leads the tie 1-0.

The formidable trio of Rudrankksh, Himanshu, and Parth combined brilliantly in the men's 10m air rifle team event, firing a sensational overall team score of 1890.1 to secure a prestigious silver medal for the country.

Rudrankkksh Balasaheb Patil and Himanshu Dhillon have delivered phenomenal qualifying rounds to advance into the individual 10m Air Rifle final.

Rudrankkksh spearheaded the challenge with a brilliant score of 631.8 points to finish 2nd in qualification, while Himanshu secured his spot among the elite finalists by placing 7th with 630.0 points. Action in the medal round start at 09:00 AM IST.

India's mixed doubles soft tennis pair of Aadhya Tiwari and Jay Meena suffered their first setback of the campaign, dropping a 1-5 decision (1-4, 2-4, 2-4, 5-7, 4-1, 3-5) against the formidable Korean pair.

Despite the hard-fought defeat, the Indian duo finished their group stage fixtures with an impressive record of 2 wins and 1 loss in Group B. Securing their spot with resilience, Tiwari and Meena have officially advanced into the Pre-Quarterfinals.

Indian sharpshooters Rudrankkksh Patil and Himanshu Dhillon are among the elite eight finalists battling for top honors, with China's Sheng Lihao leading the field. Both Indians are locked in to add another stellar medal to India's shooting tally.

Indian boxer Sumit delivered a gritty performance against Thailand's Bunjong Sinsiri. Despite dropping the second round 4-1, Sumit bounced back strongly, dominating the final round 5-0 with superior footwork and clean jabs to secure a hard-fought win.

China's Sheng Lihao currently holds the top spot with a score of 190.2, but the Indian duo is breathing right down his neck. Rudrankkksh Balasaheb Patil sits fiercely in 2nd place with 189.7 points, while Himanshu Dhillon is right behind him in 3rd place with 188.9 points. Mongolia's Bayaraa Nyantai rounds out the top four group in 4th with 187.2. The stage is set for a thrilling finish as both Indians chase a podium finish.

India's shooting contingent continues its stellar run at the range with a magnificent double-podium finish in the men's 10m air rifle final. Himanshu Dhillon put up a sensational performance under pressure, clinching the Silver medal with a final score of 252.4. Rudrankkksh Balasaheb Patil displayed incredible precision to secure the Bronze medal with a score of 230.9. China's Sheng Lihao took the top spot to claim the gold with a score of 254.2.

The Women's Pool B hockey match between India and Indonesia has officially pushed off at the Gifu Prefectural Green Stadium.

The Indian women's hockey team has drawn first blood. Star forward Deepika broke the deadlock in the 8th minute, converting a crucial penalty corner (PC) to put India ahead 1-0 against Indonesia.

Medal Tally Update: India Still At 10th!

India extends their lead to 3-0 against Indonesia as Sunelita Toppo and Lalremsiami score quick goals.

The Indian women's hockey team is putting on an absolute clinic against Indonesia. After Deepika opened the scoring in the 8th minute, the floodgates opened completely.

Sunelita Toppo struck in the 11th minute, followed swiftly by Lalremsiami in the 13th minute. Rutuja Pisal joined the party in the 15th minute, and Lalremsiami added her second of the match in the 16th minute to rocket India into a commanding 5-0 lead.

Despite the Indian camp challenging Suchika Tariyal's semifinal defeat, the review upheld a tied score. Because Singapore's Teo Hui Hoon weighed 700 grams less, tournament rules handed Teo the win.

India ruthlessly expanded their lead to 9-0 against Indonesia. Rutuja Pisal struck in the 20th minute, followed by Sakshi Rana in the 25th, Deepika in the 28th, and Sunelita Toppo in the 30th.

India's soft tennis campaign in the mixed doubles final tournament first round ended in disappointment as Jay Meena and Aadhya Tiwari went down 2-5 against the Philippines pair of Sherwin Nuguit and Christy Sanosa, missing out on a spot in the quarterfinals.

Indian swimmer Srihari Nataraj faced a tough outing in the men's 50m backstroke final, finishing in the eighth and final spot. Srihari clocked a time of 25.52 seconds, ending up 1.48 seconds behind the gold medal-winning pace in a highly competitive pool.

India are set to face Japan tomorrow in the quarterfinals of both the women's and men's team badminton events at the Asian Games 2026. The action kicks off early with the women's team taking to the court at 6:00 AM IST, followed by the men's team clash scheduled for 11:30 AM IST.

Tariyal, visibly devastated, settled for bronze and skipped the customary post-bout handshake, but the result still marked a historic first medal for India in the sport's Asian Games debut.

Two-time Asian Games medalist and 2023 World Championships silver medalist Roshibina Devi has made a strong start at the Asian Games 2026 in Japan. India’s men make light work of Pakistan, completing a dominant 3-0 victory and strengthening their push for a place in the knockouts. However, the loss to Iran yesterday remains a blemish on an otherwise strong campaign.

The Indian women had earlier also sealed a 3-0 win over Pakistan to book their knockout berth, following a thrilling victory against Singapore. They now face Thailand in the Round of 16 on Tuesday, the same team that edged India 3-2 at the previous Asian Games on their way to bronze.
