After coming so close, Nishant Dev has missed out on a Paris Olympic Games 2024 quota by a whisker, suffering a heartbreaking loss in the 71kg quarter-finals. With that, the Indian campaign has ended as all four boxers have returned empty-handed from the first World Olympic Boxing Qualifier in Busto Arsizio, Italy. An independent report has revealed grave concerns around Cricket Scotland's treatment of women and girls who "face a toxic environment and high degree of prejudice". British media has reported that 'The McKinney Report', a neutral assessment conducted by a Scottish HR firm, found a "high degree of prejudice towards female staff and players" within the sports body, adding that "antiquated attitudes and behaviour towards women in the game are still prevalent, particularly at club level". These findings come just a couple of years after an independent review 'Changing The Boundaries' found the organisation to be "institutionally racist", on the eve of which the whole Cricket Scotland board resigned.

Mumbai are batting Vidarbha out of the final. The 41-time Ranji Trophy champions are displaying the very 'khadoos' cricket they are known for, and stand at 349/5 at the time of writing. Kumble marked it as the biggest legacy of Kohli, who is the only player in history of IPL to play 16 seasons for one franchise -- Royal Challengers Bangalore. "I would say consistency. I saw him in RCB when I was a part of RCB, that's where he started his T20 career, after being a U-19 World Cup winner.
