Brobbey, Van Hecke Find Nets As Netherlands Secure Dominant Win To Top Group F Standings
Tunisia vs Netherlands Match Gallery, FIFA World Cup 2026: The Netherlands secured the top spot in Group F with a commanding 3-1 victory over Tunisia at Kansas City Stadium on Thursday (June 25). The Dutch began aggressively, forcing an own goal from Tunisian captain Ellyes Skhiri within three minutes, followed quickly by a clinical Brian Brobbey strike in the 7th minute to double the lead. Although the Eagles of Carthage fought back in the second half when Hazem Mastouri headed in from a corner in the 54th minute, Jan Paul van Hecke restored the two-goal cushion just eight minutes later with a header of his own. The result sees the Netherlands advance to a Round of 32 clash against Morocco, while Tunisia concludes their campaign after a difficult group stage.
