Match: Trabzonspor Vs Fenerbahce
Venue: Papara Stadium
Time: 10:30PM (IST)
Competition: Turkish Super Lig 2025-26, matchday 22
Fenerbahçe are a powerhouse when it comes to having established and proven players. Their star-studded lineup features clinical finisher Talisca, former Real Madrid player Marco Asensio, along with robust midfieldfidlers Fred, N'Golo Kante, and Matteo Guendouzi, while Milan Skriniar commands the defense.
Third-placed Trabzonspor host second-placed Fenerbahce at Papara Park in a high-stakes Turkish Super Lig clash, with both sides chasing leaders Galatasaray. Just seven points off the top, Trabzonspor are enjoying their strongest campaign since their 2021-22 title triumph and head into the contest unbeaten in six matches across all competitions, including dominant, clean-sheet wins in recent outings.
Fatih Tekke’s men will be eager to snap a four-match losing run in this fixture and potentially hand Fenerbahce their first league defeat of the season.
The visitors, however, arrive in formidable form under Domenico Tedesco, boasting the league’s best away record and a five-game unbeaten streak in all competitions, while also winning their last two visits to Papara Park, setting up a fierce, finely balanced showdown.
Trabzonspor XI: Onana (GK), Lovik, Batagov, Nwaiwu, Pina, Inao Oulai, Jabol-Folcarelli, Eskihellac, Muci, Augusto and Onuachu
Fenerbahce XI: Ederson (GK), Semedo, Skriniar, Oosterwolde, Muldur, Yuksek, Guendouzi, Kante, Asensio, Akturkoglu and Talisca
And we are underway at the Papara Park for this all important Turkish Super Lig match between hosts Trabzonspor and visitors Fenerbahce.
The deadlock has been broken by the home team through a well worked goal that was scored by Ernest Muci in the 6th minute. Not the start Fenerbahce were looking for as Ederson looks absolutely stunned with that sequence. Interesting start to the game here.
Fenerbahce will not let Trabzonspor have it their way as Talisca nets the equalizing goal and silences the crowd inside the Papara Park.
Kerem Akturkoglu makes it look easy for Fenerbahce. After latching onto a precise pass, he didn't waste much time before unleashing a clinical, low drive that tucked perfectly into the bottom right corner. The keeper didn't stand a chance against that kind of precision.
The tension at Papara Park has reached a boiling point as Trabzonspor strikes back to level the scoring. After Kerem Akturkoglu put the Yellow Canaries ahead with a clinical finish into the bottom corner, the hosts refused to back down with Paul Onuachu scoring the equalizer.
What an exciting game it has proved to be and the 2nd half has started from where both the teams left in the first 45 minutes. Absolute carnage as Fenerbahce takes the lead for the second time in this game and this time, it's the former Real Madrid man Marco Asensio, who finds himself on the scoresheet.
Three Trabzonspor players including goalkeeper Andre Onana, Lovik, Inao Oulai and Augusto are on yellow cards. That describes the kind of night it has been for both the teams.

It’s a massive three points for Fenerbahçe at Papara Park. After a 2-2 deadlock at the interval, Marco Asensio stepped up in the 53rd minute to fire the Yellow Canaries back into the lead. Domenico Tedesco’s side held firm through a frantic finale to keep their title charge firmly on track.
