Habib Diarra opened the scoring inside four minutes, giving the Lions of Teranga a flying start before Iraq’s hopes took another blow when Rebin Sulaka was sent off after VAR upgraded his yellow card for stopping Sadio Mane’s clear run on goal. Senegal struggled to add to their lead before the break, but they came out firing in the second half. Ismaila Sarr doubled the advantage, Pape Gueye added a sensational brace, and Iliman Ndiaye completed the rout with a stunning long-range strike. The emphatic win moved Senegal to third in Group I with three points, leaving their fate dependent on other results, while Iraq bowed out of the tournament without a point.
