Palestine and Saudi Arabia have played each other 10 times. Of those, five games have been won by Saudi Arabia, while the other five ended as draws. Palestine are yet to win against the Green Falcons. The last time they faced each other was in March 2021, which Saudi Arabia won 5-0.

It has been a pretty cagey start to the match from both sides, with neither side looking to concede the eraly goal. Salem Al-Dawsari has the first shot of the night, trying to get around his marker, but it's deflected behind for a corner.

It has been a game of few chances, band Palestine have their first sight of goal. A long ball is floated into the box, with two players attacking, but Al-Aqidi comes out and punches it away before Dabbagh can get at the end of it.

Just 10 minutes of regulation time remain in the first half, and we are yet to have our first shot on target from either side. It has been a closely contested fight, for sure, but both managers will be looking for the half-time whistle to make some tactical tweaks.

The referee blows his whistle right at mintue 45, and the first half comes to an end. It has been a rather boring half of football, with very little to write about. Hopefully, the game will open up more in the second half.

The referee blows his whistle and get the second half underway. No change at the break for either side, but will we see a change in the tactics? Stay tuned!

It's more of the same in the second half, with both sides resorting to efforts from distance. Palestine's Hamdan tries his luck from 25 yards out after Saudi fail to clear the corner, but it flies way into top tiers of the stands.

Lifeline for Saudi Arabia!!! Salem Al-Dawsari tries to cut inside from the left, but he is brought down by Saleh. The referee points to the spot. Al-Buraikan makes no mistake from 12 yards, sending Hamada the wrong way.

Dabbagh draws Palestine level!!! A brilliant whipped delivery from the right Sawafta is touched down by Dabbagh, who then fires it from close range past Al-Aqidi.

How close was that from Majrashi!! The right back was allowed some space in front of the box, and he let fly. Hamada left it, thinkking it would go over, but it dipped viciously and crashed against the crossbar.

What a glorious opportunity for Saudi to take the lead. A terrific cross from the right finds Al-Dawsari perfectly. The skipper, unmarked in the box, somehow manages to head it straight into Hamada's gloves.

Kanno met a whipping delivery from the right flank before deftly finding the bottom corner. But Saudi Arabia's celebrations are short lived as the linesman's flag goes up, and the goal won't count. Looks like we are heading to extra time.

End of regular time, and on to extra time we go! What late drama there was as well, with VAR intervening to overturn a penalty decision in favour of Saudi Arabia after Saleh's hand struck the ball in the box. 30 more minutes of action awaits us.

The referee blows his whistle, and Palestine get the first half of extra time underway. It was all even at the end of regulation time. Will half-an-hour more of football be able to separate the two sides? Stay tuned!

A big blow for Palestine, as Mahajneh has to be stretchered out of the pitch after suffering a knock. He is replaced by Khalid El Haija.

It's half time of extra time, and the deadlock is still intact. More so, neither side look particularly threatening at the moment. We might be inching towards penalty shootout, folks.

Saudi Arabia get the second half of extra time underway. This is the final chance for the Green Falcons to grab the winner before we will go to penalties.

Finally, Kanno heads it past Hamada to put Saudi Arabia ahead with just five minutes left on the clock!! Heartbreak for Palestine, who failed to clear the ball away from their box. Al-Dawsari did very well to foat in the box, and Kanno met it on the far post to find the back of the net.

The referee blows the whistle to bring this cracker of a contest to an end. Saudi Arabia steal it right at the end through Kanno's header, and they move on to the semi-finals.
