We’re off in Naples! Chelsea get the match started, moving the ball from right to left as the noise inside the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium is already deafening. Napoli press early, trying to force a mistake high up the pitch, while Chelsea look composed in possession, knocking it around the back to settle nerves.

Huge scare for Chelsea! A sloppy pass back from Caicedo doesn’t have enough on it, and McTominay sprints in to pounce. Sánchez just gets there first but absolutely blasts his clearance straight into McTominay’s face from close range. The ball ricochets high and over the bar, what a bizarre moment that could’ve gone anywhere.

Cool as you like from the spot. Fernandez sends Meret the right way but still tucks it low into the bottom-left corner. Clinical penalty, and Chelsea take the lead in Naples after the handball decision.

Napoli are knocking! Di Lorenzo finds himself in loads of space on the left side of the box and drills a low effort toward the near post, but Sánchez reacts sharply, sticking out a foot to keep it out. Big save at an important moment.

What a moment, and what a goal! Vergara, the Naples-born youngster, announces himself in style with his first senior strike. He pounces on a loose clearance from distance, drives purposefully toward the left side of the box, then produces a brilliant spin to leave Fofana behind.

Napoli complete the turnaround! The move starts down the left as Olivera bursts into the box and fires a low, dangerous ball across the face of goal. Højlund times his run perfectly, gets goal-side of Fofana, and guides a first-time finish past Sánchez at the near post. Simple, sharp, and ruthless.

Napoli lead 2-1 at the break after a lively first half. Chelsea started well and went ahead, but the momentum swung hard in Napoli’s favour as they grew into the game and looked sharper in attack. The hosts have carried more threat since equalising and now have the edge, while Chelsea will need a response after the interval to turn this back around.

Back underway in Naples! The hosts restart the action, but all eyes are on Chelsea, who need a response. There’s a key change at the break as Palmer comes on for Neto, a clear attacking move as the visitors push for an equalizer. Expect more urgency from the Blues this half as they chase the game.

That is outrageous! Palmer feeds Pedro just outside the box with his back to goal, and in one slick motion he spins away from his marker. No hesitation after that, he unleashes a thunderous strike with his right foot that screams into the top corner.

Chelsea complete the comeback, and it’s Pedro again! Palmer releases him perfectly into space, and Pedro surges into the right side of the box with confidence. He keeps his composure and drills a low finish across goal into the bottom corner. Clinical, decisive, and full of belief.

What a result for the Blues. They had to dig deep, especially late on, but Pedro’s second-half double proves decisive in a huge win on the road. Napoli threw everything forward in stoppage time, yet Chelsea held firm under pressure. A statement performance away from home, and while other results are still pending, this victory puts them in a very strong position for the last 16.
