Despite the late efforts from Chennaiyin's late, including a shot that hit the crossbar by Greg Stewart and a blocked attempt from Jason Cummings, the Mariners held firm and continued their unbeaten streak at home.

Despite a few close calls, including a shot from Greg Stewart hitting the crossbar, Chennaiyin couldn’t find the equalizer. The Mariners clinched the win to lead the table yet again replacing Bengaluru FC with 20 points from nine games.
