Man City 3-0 Brentford, Premier League: Guardiola's Men Cut Gap At Summit With Comprehensive Win

Manchester City did what they needed to, cutting Arsenal's lead down to two points with a 3-0 win over Brentford in their matchday 36 Premier League encounter at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday (May 9, 2026). Jeremy Doku broke the deadlock in the 60th minute, Erling Haaland doubled the hosts' lead in the 75th and Omar Marmoush sealed three points in the second minute of stoppage time. City are now at 74 points versus the Gunners' 76, with three more rounds left to decide the intensifying title race. The margin of victory also boosted Cityzens' goal difference, which stands at +40 as against Arsenal's +41.
