The game is one, but the vibes around the stadium are weird. The stadium is half emptly here. Wonder if they are going to miss some crazy action today.
A defensive mix-up costs Scotland early. Souttar misjudges the ball, Pavlidis forces a save from Gordon, but Bakasetas reacts quickest and slots the rebound into the bottom-right corner. Nightmare start for the Tartan Army.
Robertson whips in a deep free-kick from the left, but it drifts too close to the Ethniki goalkeeper, who gathers comfortably. A wasted chance for the Tartan Army.
Scotland look strangely flat, almost unaware of the stakes tonight. The Ethniki are growing in confidence, and young Karetsas is starting to showboat down the flank. The Tartan Army won’t enjoy this.
Huge stop from Gordon. Retsos flicks a corner on at the near post, and it looks destined to sneak in, but the Scotland keeper reacts superbly to palm it away.
A much better delivery this time, and the Tartan Army get a head to it, but there's no clean strike on goal. Play stops immediately as the referee spots a head knock in the box.
Football really is a strange game. The Ethniki could easily have been four goals clear before the Tartan Army even mustered a shot, yet Scotland suddenly burst into life late in the half and squandered three huge chances. A chaotic, breathless end, but Clarke’s men somehow remain just one down at the break.
And we’re back for the second half! No changes from either side. The Tartan Army must find a goal quickly if they want to keep their play-off hopes alive.
Grim scenes for the Tartan Army. Andrews Tetteh charges down the left, delivers a neat ball into the box, and somehow Robertson loses track of young Konstantinos Karetsas, who curls a beautiful finish into the net. Greece double their lead.
Ugly for the Tartan Army, but a brilliant strike from Christos Tzolis. The winger unleashes a powerful shot from distance that beats Craig Gordon, leaving Scotland with a mountain to climb.
A glimmer of hope for the Tartan Army! John McGinn drives in a low, teasing cross, and Ben Gannon-Doak is perfectly positioned to finish. The young forward scores his first goal for Scotland, the comeback might just be on.
Scotland are back in it! Andy Robertson delivers a superb ball from the left, and Ryan Christie rises to nod it home. The Tartan Army have pulled a second, suddenly, anything is possible!
Drama unfolds! Tasos Bakasetas is shown a second yellow for barging into Lewis Ferguson while contesting a high ball. Harsh or not, Greece are now down to ten, giving the Tartan Army a huge lifeline in the closing stages.
Unbelievable! John McGinn powers down the byline and sends a perfect cutback across goal. George Hirst looks set to tap in, but the keeper gets just enough on it to deny Scotland. So, so close, what a match.
Scotland nearly staged a late fightback after a poor first 64 minutes, with chances for Adams and Christie. Meanwhile, Denmark and the White Wings are tied 2-2, setting up a winner-takes-all clash at Hampden.
