On paper, this match looks like a straightforward win for FC Goa. A former ISL Shield winner facing a recently promoted side. However, Inter Kashi's smart transfer business means that Antonio Lopez Habas' side – formed only two years ago – have fielded one of the best foreign contingent in the league. They even have a foreign goalkeeper – the first one in ISL since Apoula Edel? Plus, the visitors have a new star on their logo...
The referee blows his whistle to get the second ISL match underway at the Fatorda Stadium. Stay tuned.
Despite FC Goa dominating the ball, it's Inter Kashi who have the first shot on goal, but Hrithik makes a solid save. Goa clear the resulting corner with some trouble, but Inter Kashi win a free-kick.
A reckless challenge from Prasanth on Udanta, right in front of the referee, results in a free-kick. However, the Inter Kashi wingers talks himself into a booking. Habas will not like this.
Half an hour of football has been played in Fatorda, and we are yet to see any real chance being produced in what has been a really cagey affair so far. The rustiness that both sides have due to the lack of any kind of pre-season is pretty evident.
What a save from Tarres!! The first proper change of the contest as the ball is played from the right to Nemil. The foward takes it on his right and goes across the towards the top corner. Tarres adjusts his body brilliantly and makes a flying save to keep the deadlock intact.
Inter Kashi hve taken the lead right at the end, and it's Prasanth who scores the goal for the ISL newcomers!! It was an incisive run from the visitors, with Rohit Danu catching the Gaurs by surprise. It finds the run of Prasanth, who lobs it beautifully over the reach of Hrithik to find the back of the net.
The referee blows his whistle to bring the first half to an end, and it was the perfect end for the Warriors of Kashi, who were given the lead with the last kick of the half by Prasanth.
Both sets of players are out of the tunnels and onto the pitch. One change at the break for FC Goa, with Abdul Rabeeh coming on for Prachit Vishwas. Can Inter Kashi hold on to their slender lead, or even add to it, for the first upset of the season?
Much better from FC Goa in the second half, although the incision in the final third is yet to be there. Brison goes down under a challenge from Prasanth, winning a free-kick. The resulting set-piece, however, doesn't lead to anything as Drazic runs out of the playing surface.
It's all too comfortable for Inter Kashi at the moment, with Tarres under no pressure at all in the second half. Manolo Marquez makes on more change, bringing on Sahil Tavora in place of Boris Singh – an attacking change for the Gaurs.
Oooho, drama! FC Goa have a shot at the edge of the box, which bounces off Brison, and the latter shoots and finds the bottom corner. However, Goa's celebrations are cut short as the referee brings it back for something that he saw. Seems like a handball by Brison.
Meanwhile, Inter Kashi make a double change. Nishchal is forced off with an injury, with Wayne Vaz replacing him. Petkevicius also comes off for Humanes.
The changes at the top have allowed Drazic more room to cut inside, adn the FC Goa forward does just that before trying to curl one into the top corner. Tarres makes a full-stretch dive, but the ball flies just wide.
Drazic is proving to be a menace for the Kashi defenders, with the forward breaking the offside line. A great first touch before having a low shot from an acute angle, and Tarres makes a good save with his feet.
What a tragedy at the back for Inter Kashi!! Lluis Tarres, who did so well until now with a couple of good saves, is totally at fault. The goalkeeper was overcondifent with posession, and Nemil came challenging and won the ball. The Spanish goalkeeper then hacks the Goa man down, and the referee has no choice but to send him off and award a penalty.
Inter Kashi sacrifices Danu, and backup goalkeeper Shubham comes on in his place. All eyes will be on him now.
Drazis steps up to take the spot kick, and the Serbian makes absolutely no mistake, thumping it past Shubham even though the goalkeeper dived the correct way. Goa are level at the Fatorda, and have plenty of time to win the match!
The fourth official holds up his board to indicate a minimum of eight minutes to be played at the end of regulation time. Habas is not happy with the number, while there's a cheer from the Fatorda crowd.
The referee blows his whistle to bring the match to an end! There was intense pressure from FC Goa in search of the winner, but the 10 men of Inter Kashi defend with their lives to come away with a vital point on the road.
