Premier League Highlights, Saturday Goal Rush: 10-Man Chelsea, Aston Villa Drop Points At Home; Brentford Lose 2-0

Good evening, football fans! This is the start of our live blog covering the three Saturday Goal Rush fixtures in the Premier League. Stay tuned for pre-match updates and line-ups as they are released.

The three 8:30 PM IST kick-offs that we will cover in this blog are:

• Aston Villa vs Leeds United at Villa Park

• Brentford vs Brighton at Gtech Community Stadium

• Chelsea vs Burnley at Stamford Bridge

All the three English Premier League matches from 8:30 PM IST will be live-streamed in India on the JioHotstar app and website. The Chelsea vs Burnley will be televised on Star Sports Select 1 (SD & HD), and Aston Villa vs Leeds United will be televised on Star Sports Select 2 (SD & HD).

Perfect start for Chelsea as Joao Pedro bundles the ball into the back of the net in just the fourth minute. A great pass from Caicedo found the run of Pedro Neto on the left, and the Portuguese squared it back across the face of goal for Neto to somehow put it past the goalkeeper. That's his 11th goal of the season.

In the first quarter of football played at Gtech, Brighton have made a brilliant start. They have dominated almost two-thirds of the ball and called Kelleher into action early on with Dunk's header from a corner. Brentford are slowly finding their footing in the game.

It has been tough going for Aston Villa as we approach the half-hour mark. It's Leeds who had the best chance of the game in the 15th minute when Martinez rushed out to deny Calvert-Lewin. Since then, the home side have failed to respond, with Watkins cutting a lone figure at the top. A really frustrating watch for the neutrals.

Brighton's bright start bears fruit as Diego Gomez puts the Seagulls ahead just after the half-hour mark. It has been a really open-ended game so far, and it's the visitors who get the breakthrough. Kardioglu rattled the crossbar with his thunderous strike, and Gomez was in the right place at the right time to poke in the rebound.

Leeds have been the better side in the first half by some margin, and the Lillywhites take a deserved lead, and what a way to do so! From a set-piece 25 yards or so away, Stach fires in a screamer that flies past Emi Martinez. A brilliant curling effort that would have made Roberto Carlos proud!

Brighton have doubled their lead in stoppage time, with Welbeck getting on the scoresheet! Collins, who came on just a minute ago, is at fault. A long ball from midfield found the run of Hinshelwood on the right, who crossed it towards the middle. Collins failed to clear it and sends it straight to Welbeck, who fires it in from close range.

• Brentford 0-2 Brighton

• Chelsea 1-0 Burnley

The three matches have kicked off for the second half. Aston Vill have brought on Lucas Pires in place of Kyle Walker at the break, while Jaka Bijol is on for Leeds United, replacing Gabriel Gudmundsson. Brentford, meanwhile, have made a double substitution, with Schade and Yarmolyuk coming on in places of Lewis-Potter and Janelt.

We are 10 minutes since the restart, and Chelsea have absolutely dominated the second half. The Blues almost had a penalty after Worrall's tackle on Palmer, but VAR denied the call. Meanwhile, Mejbri's laxity in the box was picked up by Joao Pedro, who blasted the ball over after a deflection instead of squaring it back for Pedro Neto.

We are just past the hour mark at Villa Park, and the home side have responded well since going down. They have 60% of ball posession as well as three shots on target, but Darlow is yet to be troubled too much. Emery makes a double change, bringing on Sancho and Barkley to shore up the attack. Bailey and Onana make way.

Wesley Fofana is shown a second yellow card a Chelsea go down to 10 men!! Good play from Ward-Prowse, who reached to the ball earlier as the French defender bundled him down. He was already booked in the first half, and the referee has no choice but to give Fofana his marching orders.

Drama at Stamford Bridge! A long ball from the Burnley half almost found the run of Fleming, but he goes down after a tussle with Tosin. VAR checks for a potential red card but clears the Chelsea defender. Meanwhile, the hosts break at the other end, and Caicedo has a wild shot that flies wide of the post.

Burnley make a double change looking for the equaliser. Tchaouna and Barnes come on, replacing Humphreys and Anthony.

Abramahm draws Aston Villa right at the death!! Konsa does very well to flick the ball back towards the center, and Abraham hits the ball with his knee past the goalkeeper and Calvert-Lewin on the line.

Burnley are level in stoppage time!! Outstanding header from Zian Flemming, who did justice to the first-class cross delivery from Ward-Prowse. Sanchez had absolutely no chance of saving that on his far corner.
