A brilliant cross field pass from Murillo finds Hutchinson on the right flank, who plays a peach of a cross that is headed by Gibbs-White past Perri. Two goals in two league matches for the Forest player, and Leeds' struggles on the road continues.
A brilliant cross field pass from Murillo finds Hutchinson on the right flank, who plays a peach of a cross that is headed by Gibbs-White past Perri. Two goals in two league matches for the Forest player, and Leeds' struggles on the road continues.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth had the chance to pull one back after Rogers is penalised for a handball in the box. Semenyo steps up to take it, nut Martinez pulls of a stunning save to protect Aston Villa's lead.
Brighton almost get a lifeline as Tim Robinson points towards the spot for an apparent foul by Cavot on Rutter. VAR asks the referee to take another look at it, and replays show that it was a blatant dive. The penalty decision is reversed.
In the other match between Brentford and Newcastle United, Ouattara dances his way into the box and goes down under a dangling foot from Burn. Stuart Atwell is not impressed, and VAR says there was 'minimal contact'. The Magpies defender is a very lucky man.
Another long throw is converted into a goal by Brentford, and it's Schade who gets his head at the end of the opportunity to level scores. A missile launched from the touchlines by Kayode comes off the head of Botman and falls into the path of Schade, who heads it past Pope.
The first real chance of the game as Sarr attempts to play a pass into the Brighton penalty area that gets a lucky deflection off a defender and falls into the path of Kamada. The Japanese midfielder has a first-time shot, and it goes millimetres wide of the post.
The second half action is underway in the four matches. Just to recap, the match between Crystal Palace and Brighton is still goalless, while Nottingham Forest and Leeds United are tied one-all. Aston Villa have a two-goal lead over Bournemouth, and Newcastle United lead hosts Brentford 1-0. Stay tuned!
It's half time in all the four fixtures. The results look like this at break:
Aston Villa 2-0 Bournemouth (Buendia 28', Onana 41')
Brentford 0-1 Newcastle United (Barnes 27')
Crystal Palace 0-0 Brighton
Nottingham Forest 1-1 Leeds United (Sangare 15'; Nmecha 13')
The hosts are in total command, and this goal was coming for some time. After Pau Torres almost doubled the lead with a header, Villa get the second goal through another strong counter attack.
An interception in Bournemouth's half is recycled by the Villans. Rogers cuts inside into the box and then lays it off the Onana. The Belgian sorts his feet and then unleashes a missile the finds the bottom corner.
It has been a really curious half at Selhurst Park, with both sides have three shots a piece, and with half of them on target. Minteh is he latest one to have a crack at Palace's goal, but his shot from outside the box doesn't trouble Henderson. In fact, this is a game without any significant chances created yet, as the xG of 0.19 and 0.16 shows.
A moment of brilliance from Harvey Barnes, and Newcastle United take the lead with their first shot on target. A really good counter attack results in the ball in the box towards Woltemade. The German can't control it, but it falls to Barnes. He twists and turns, leaving two Brentford defenders on the ground, and shoots past Kelleher to score his 50th Premier League goal.
In the other match, Emiliano Buendia gives Aston Villa the opening goal against Bournemouth. It was a sensational free-kick from the Argnetine, with the ball going over the wall and into the top corner as Petrovic is rooted to his spot.
In what has been an uneventful half so far, Brentford almost took the lead htrough Hickey. The full-back got at the end of a rebound and tried his luck, but Pope was alert to tip the ball away from the bottom corner.
A couple of minutes later, Newcastle's night gets worse as Joelinton has to come off after picking up a knock. Jacob Ramsey replaces him.
Leeds United's lead lasts just two minutes and 17 seconds, as Nottingham find the perfect response. Ndoye does well to cut the ball into the box. Perri dives to punch the ball away but only parries it into the path of Sangare, and the midfielder slots it into an ungaurded net.
What a finish from Nmecha, and Leeds take the lead against the run of play. After Nottingham lose the ball in the middle of the park, Leeds break forward. Aaronsen, in front of the box, lays it off for Nmecha, who continues his run and then finds the far corner.
The first real chance of the night as Sarr works his way into the box and fires a low shot towards the right corner. Vebruggen, despite a moment of hesitation, goes down well to keep the danger out.
In the other fixtures, Nottingham Forest's Gibbs-White had an early shot on Leeds' goal, but it went just wide of the post.
After the pre-match performances by the Royal Military Police and a minute of silence as part of the Remembrance Day in the United Kingdom, all the four fixtures have kicked-off. Stay tuned for live updates.
