Referee blows the whistle and the match is underway at the Seattle Stadium. Mohamed Salah commits a foul, while during an attacking move.

Goaaalll....! Egypt gets themselves on the scoreboard early in the match as Mamoud Saber fires a rebound from the post into the bottom left corner.

GOAL! Iran's Ramin Rezaeian levels the score for his team as he picks out the perfect gap and scores from an almost impossible angle from close in. The score is level 1-1.

Ramin Rezaeian (Iran) reacts quickly to a loose ball at the edge of the penalty area and fires a first-time effort, but the shot sails well over the crossbar. Egypt are awarded a goal kick.

That's the halftime whistle and with it both the players are heading towards their respective locker rooms for the break. The match is currently well-poised with both teams at 1-1, not giving an inch to one another.

Trezeguet (Egypt) reads the lofted pass perfectly and charges into the box with only the goalkeeper standing in his way. He opts for an early shot towards the bottom-right corner, but Alireza Beiranvand produces an excellent save to keep him out.

Egypt's Mohanad Lasheen makes an effort to send the ball inside from front of the post but the opposition defender thwarts the effort, resulting the ball going out of play and Egypt gets a corner. The corner kick is also averted by Iranian defence.

Mohanad Lasheen gets hold of a rebound and he take a punt by firing a shot towards the goal but the effort goes in vain as the ball flies wide off the left post.

That's the final whistle and with it the stoppage time comes to an end. The 1-1 deadlock between both teams persisted till the end. With this draw, Egypt qualifies for the knockouts, while Iran finish at the third place and they'll have to wait for the eight best third-placed teams table for their fate.
