Al-Ittihad 0-2 Al-Nassr Highlights, Saudi Pro League: Mane, Ronaldo Seal Comfortable Win For Visitors

A warm welcome to all football fans tuning in to the start of our live blog on Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al-Nassr’s trip to Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League 2025-26 tonight. The action in Jeddah is set to kick off at 11:30 PM IST, so stay tuned for pre-match updates and lineups as they are released.

As per the data available, Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr have played 69 times so far. Al-Ittihad have won 30 times, Al-Nassr have won 18 times, and 21 matches ended in draws.

The last time they met was in the Saudi Super Cup on August 19, with Al-Nassr winning 2-1 against Al-Ittihad despite going down to 10 men.

The players are out on the pitch, warming up ahead of the match. Karim Benzema looks absolutely fit after returning for in injury outlay. Meanwhile, Ronaldo is having a discussion with Joao Felix.

Al-Ittihad fans have put out all the stops in their tifo work. The players pay homage to the fans before kick-off.

The atmosphere is absolutely stunning in Jeddah tonight, and home side Al-Ittihad get tonight's top of the table clash underway. However, Al-Nassr win posession and are immediately on the attack.

The opening four minutes or so have been entirely dominated by the away side. Joao Felix had a very good opportunity within 90 seconds, but his shot from inside the box was blocked by a defender. No attacking threat from Ittihad at the moment.

Best chance of the game so far, and it falls to Al-Ittihad. A cross from the right flank by Diaby found Bergwijn on the edge of the box. The Dutch player tried to create some space for himself, but his eventual shot was blocked by the defender.

Sublime build-up to the goal by Al-Nassr wingers, and what a finish at the end of it from Mane! Brilliant footwork from Felix, who lays it to Coman. The Frenchman got around his marker before cutting it back across the face of the goal. Mane got a first-time finish, half-volleying the cross into the back of the net.

What a chance for Ronaldo to double Nassr's lead! It's Coman on the right flank again, floating in a peach of a delivery. Ronaldo, despite some pressure from the defence, gets a header from the centre of the box, but the ball goes wide. Considering it's CR7, that had to be on target.

A good chance for the home side to level scores. Bergwijn is played through, and he takes a touch to steady himself before having a go at goal. Bento, who was dropped from the squad previously due to poor form, stay strong to keep the shot out.

Ronaldo is too strong on the back of Fabinho, and the Brazilian goes down. The referee blows for a foul, and Ronaldo kicks the ball away in frustration. The referee wants to have a word with him, but the Portuguese superstar does not turn around until at least a metre of walking away. Still, for some reason, there's no yellow card.

Al-Ittihad almost took advantage of Al-Nassr's high backline, with Diaby finding himself with acres of space down the right flank after beign found by a long ball. However, the flag goes up slightly belatedly, which angers centre-back Simakan.

Time for the first cooling break on a hot Friday night.

After so many shots off target, Al-Nassr finally double their advantage, and who better to get on the end of a cross other than Ronaldo. Mane plays a terrific floater in the box, and Ronaldo makes a late run and gets on the end of it, giving Rajkovic no chance.

The tempo of the game has dropped a little bit, but Al-Ittihad are trying to take advantage of the high-line. However, Bergwijn is having trouble keeping himself onside. The fourth official holds up his board - a minimum of three minutes to be added on.

A big blow for Al-Ittihad, as French midfielder Houssem Aouar can't continue due to injury and has to go off the field. Faisel Al-Ghamdi replaces him.

The referee blows the half-time whistle, and this has been a first half that Al-Nassr have dominated through and through. Sadio Mane has been the star for Al-Alami, scoring the opener and then assisting Ronaldo's second goal.

Ronaldo leads Al-Nassr out of the tunnel, and the players take their place on the pitch. The visitors, leading two-nil, get the second half underway. No changes for either side at the break.

Al-Nassr look lethal every time they move forward. A quick counter attack as Mane finds himself with his back to the goal at the edge of the box. The Senegalese turns and plays Ronaldo on the right flank, who shoots with his right. Rajkovic sticks out a leg to keep the danger out.

Ohh... that was close. Al-Nassr are pushing ahead for the third goal, and a good cross from the left by Yahya almost found the former Bayern Munich man, but he slipped at the last moment and could not get a foot on it. Any solid touch and it would have found the back of the net.

The high tempo of the game has dropped a bit. Al-Ittihad, for their part, are struggling to create anything of note. Al-Nassr, meanwhile, saw an effort from Ronaldo going wide. Managers will be looking to make changes soon in the extremely humid weather out there.

How on earth did Cristiano Ronaldo miss that?! Again, the threat came from the right flank, with Coman being freed by a pass from Mane. Rajkovic came rushiing, but Coman squared it to Ronaldo in the middle of the box. WIth the entire goal gaping in front of him, he blazed his shot over the bar.

Al-Ittihad make a change in personnel, bringing on the creative Abdulrahman Al-Obood in place of Faqeehi. Laurent Blanc will want his side to show more creativity in midfield, with half-an-hour left in regulation time.

After a coming together with Kante, Coman immediately went down in pain. It seemed like he tweaked something in his left foot after an awkward landing. There's a significant delay as the physios attend to him, and the players get some refreshments. Eventually, he is OK to continue.

The first real chance of the second-half for Al-Ittihad, as a long ball found the run of Al Ghamdi in the box. The Saudi attacker instead crossed it back to Benzema, who turned masterfully and then had a snap shot towards the far corner, bringing out a top save from Bento. It wouldn't have mattered though, as Al Ghamdi was offside.

Another decent chance for Al-Ittihad, who had earlier opted to replace antoher full-back - Al-Julaydan with Ahmed Sharahili. Meanwhile, the ball was played to Diaby on the right flank, who has a shot at goal from outside the box. However, it's straight at the goalkeeper and catching pratcice.

The first real flashpoint of the game. Bergwijn clatters into the back of Martinez and then kicked the ball at the centre-back. Martinez did not like it one bit, nor did the Jorge Jesus, who came rushing on to the pitch. Eventually, the situation was diffused, and a yellow is shown to both the Al-Nassr manager and Bergwijn.

First change of the night for Al-Nassr, with Coman coming off for full-back Sultan Al Ghanam. The veteran defender will look to shore up the right side with Ahmed. Jorge Jesus is clearly happy to see this result through.

Abdulrahman Ghareeb, who came on moments ago in place of Ayman Ahmed, had the chance to score the third goal. Rajkovic had rushed out of his goal and was caught in no man's land, but Ghareeb's long-range lob goes just over the bar.

Meanwhile, the fourth official indicates a minimum of five minutes to be played at the end of regulation time.

With just a minute left to play, Ronaldo comes off and is replaced by Abdulelah Al Amri. A big cheer for the Portuguese superstar, who is thrilled with his performance tonight and is high-fived by the Al-Nassr staff.

The referee blows his whistle, and that's that for tonight's game. Al Ghamdi could have pulled one back for Al-Ittihad with the last kick of the game, but his shot - with just the goalkeeper in front of him - was wide.

A dominant performance from the visitors, who had 21 shots, but just three of them on target. Laurent Blanc will need to go back to the drawing board, falling three points behind against their table-topping opponents.
