AJX lost their last match against Excelsior at home by 2-1. In fact, they have lost their last three consecutive matches and would like to turn things around in this match.
Benfica won their last game against Atletico by 2-0 in the Portuguese Cup and will look to carry forward the winning momentum against Ajax too.

Ross tried to net the corner in the first attempt but was saved by Jaros but Dahl hit a perfect left-footer to the rebound and the ball landed into the top right corner of the net giving BEN an early lead.
While AJX has kept maximum possession so far in the game, yet they haven't been able to converti chances into goals while BEN in their limited opportunities have been able to push forward and even scored a goal.
The half-time whistle is blown and the players are heading back for the break. BEN is leading the way so far courtesy to Samuel Dahl's perfect rebound in the 6th minute.
