Who Is Zubin Bharucha?

Before stepping into this role, Bharucha built a stellar reputation as a cerebral backroom mastermind in Indian domestic and franchise cricket. A former right-handed opening batsman, he played first-class cricket for Bombay—winning the Ranji Trophy in the 1993–94 season and starring in the Irani Cup—as well as representing Surrey County Cricket Club in England.

Deeply respected for his technical acumen and intense focus on data-driven research, he has long preferred operating behind the scenes to engineer structured pathways for raw talent.

His extensive franchise journey includes a long-standing tenure with the Rajasthan Royals, where he served as Team Director from 2008 to 2015 and later as Director of Cricket Operations.
