Who Is Keacy Carty? West Indies Batter To Hit Three Tons In Last Four ODI Matches

Keacy Carty made just six runs off 15 balls in the opening match of the three-match bilateral ODI series against Ireland, but ended up getting the Player of the Series award after the third match. West Indies and Ireland shared the ODI series with a 1-1 result after the second match ended in a washout.

The 28-year-old Carty hit two back-to-back centuries against Ireland to leave a mark on his talent. He made 102 and 170 runs in the second and third ODIs, respectively, to finish as the top run-scorer of the series.

Now, he has repeated the same pattern in the ODI series against England as well. He made just 22 runs while his team was chasing a mammoth target of 401 runs in the first ODI against England in Birmingham.

And batting first in the second ODI, he hit another ton, scoring 103 runs off 105 balls. The West Indies have set a big target of 309 runs for the hosts. Brandon King and captain Shai Hope have also scored half-centuries.

In his last 10 ODI innings, Carty has made 763 runs, including four tons and two half-centuries, with an average of 76.3.

He made his ODI debut in 2022 and impressed with a match-winning unbeaten 43. He rose to fame with a composed 52 not out in the 2016 U-19 World Cup final.

He has played five Test matches and 37 ODIs for the West Indies. He is in sublime form and has all the features to be the next big thing in the Windies cricket for a long time.
