West Indies Vs South Africa, T20 World Cup 2026: Proteas Storm Into Semi-Final With Dominant 9-Wicket Win Over WI
South Africa routed West Indies by 9 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium to secure a place in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2026. West Indies batted first and were loitering at 71/6 at one stage until Jason Holder and Romario Shephard took them to 176/8 courtesy of a record-breaking 8th wicket stand. In response, South Africa made short work of the chase on the back of skipper Aiden Markram's unbeaten 82 off 46 balls. He forged a 95-run opening stand with Quinton de Kock, followed by an 82-run partnership with Ryan Rickelton to take his team over the line comfortably.
