New Zealand vs Pakistan ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8 Group 2 encounter gets washed out without a ball bowled due to persistent rain at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday, February 21. The toss happened just when the drizzle started. Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. Mitchell Santner returned from illness in New Zealand's playing XI and both sides were looking to get two points to boost their campaign ahead. But the rain got heavier and covers had to be called in. Despite a long wait from the fans and the groundstaff, the rain was steady and never eased up.
