Hello, we’re back with another live blog and it’s Mumbai vs Hyderabad. Stay tuned for live updates.
Hyderabad have won the toss and have opted to field first Mumbai.
Hyderabad (Playing XI): Chama V Milind(c), Tanmay Agarwal, Aman Rao, Pragnay Reddy(w), Rahul Buddhi, Mickil Jaiswal, Mohammad Arfaz Ahmed, Tanay Thyagarajan, Mohammed Siraj, Ajay Dev Goud, Nitin Sai Yadav
Mumbai (Playing XI): Ajinkya Rahane(c), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Sairaj Patil, Atharva Ankolekar, Hardik Tamore(w), Shardul Thakur, Tanush Kotian, Suryansh Shedge, Tushar Deshpande
Siraj charges in to start the evening and Jaiswal looks eager straightaway. Two sighters to begin with, both defended back as Siraj tests him on length. Then comes the release, Jaiswal rolls his wrists and sends a crisp flick racing away to deep square leg for the first boundary of the night. Siraj loses his line next ball and spills a wide, clearly still settling in.
Rahane watches on from the non-striker’s end as Mumbai get moving.
Nitin Sai Yadav cuts short Yashasvi Jaiswal’s stay just as he was warming up nicely, 29 off 20, all timing and intent. The momentum pauses for a moment as Jaiswal walks off, and out comes Atharva Ankolekar to join Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Mumbai reset, Hyderabad sense a window.
Mohammad Arfaz Ahmed strikes and Mumbai sink deeper, Angkrish Raghuvanshi never quite settled, and his attempt to break free only finds Pragnay Reddy waiting at point. He’s gone for 4 off 11. Mumbai’s innings keeps slipping, and frustration grows in the middle.
Thyagarajan keeps things tight as he steps in for a steady 15th over. Hardik Tamore prods at the first ball and finds nothing. He finally nudges the next one out to deep mid-wicket for a single, breaking the brief pause.
Suryansh Shedge then joins in with a calm push down the ground for one more. Hyderabad keep the squeeze on, Mumbai still searching for that spark.
Siraj comes back with intent and this one is too good for Tanush Kotian — sharp, straight, and smashing into the stumps. Kotian lasts just 2 off 5 as Mumbai lose yet another one. Siraj roars, Hyderabad tighten the grip.
Tushar Deshpande is run out for 1 off 2, and that closes the innings on a strong note for Hyderabad’s bowlers. Mumbai fold for 131 in 18.5 overs, nowhere near what they would’ve hoped for.
Chase time now, and Hyderabad stroll out looking confident. Tanmay Agarwal and Aman Rao take guard, both already showing good rhythm as they begin the pursuit of 132. Mumbai need something special to claw back into this.
Tanmay Agarwal gets Hyderabad off to a flying start, first, a crisp drive to deep mid-wicket races away for four, then he follows it up with a stylish whip to backward square leg for another boundary. Hyderabad in full flow.
Big blow for Hyderabad! Tanmay Agarwal’s scintillating 75 off 40 comes to an end as he skies one straight to Tanush Kotian. Seven boundaries and four sixes lit up his innings, but Tushar Deshpande strikes to halt the momentum.
Hyderabad cruised to a nine-wicket win over Mumbai, chasing 132 with ease. Tanmay Agarwal’s 75 off 40 set the tone, while Aman Rao supported with a stylish fifty. Mohammed Siraj took three wickets, but Mumbai’s batting never recovered, leaving Hyderabad in complete control.
That’s a wrap, we’ll be back with another live blog. Until then, bye bye.
