Cross borders at the Indian national capital, where the Delhi Capitals are taking on Punjab Kings, South African pacer Lungi Ngidi suffered a horrifying head injury.
In the 3rd over of the 2nd innings, a miscued shot from Priyansh Arya went flying towards mid-off with Lungi Ngidi attempting to take the catch but ended up with his head bouncing after hitting the ground.
The Karachi Kings defeated Quetta Gladiators by 9 wickets in an one-sided affair. Skipper David Warner was adjudged man of the match for his exceptional 88 off 47 balls.
Lahore Qalandars have won the toss and chose to bowl first.

And are underway for this all important PSL clash between Peshawar and Lahore. James Vince and Babar Azam are in the crease with Shaheen Afridi bowling the first over.
James Vince becomes the first to depart for a score of 10 off 7 by Lahore skipper Shaheen Afridi. But good news for Peshawar is that the dangerous duo of Babar Azam and Kusal Mendis are in the crease.
The dangerous duo of Babar Azam and Kusal Mendis could not get going today as the latter departed for 7 off 7 by Shaheen Afridi, who picked up his 2nd wicket of the night.
Peshawar Zalmi skipper Babar Azam brings up another half-century and this one is really crucial as it came against the reigning champions. He looks in total control at the moment along with New Zealand's Michael Bracewell.
Ubaid Shah lands it on a good length around middle and leg, but Michael Bracewell is already ahead of the game. He shuffles across, drops down on one knee, and executes a brilliant scoop that sails cleanly over the keeper for four. Clever, inventive, and perfectly timed.
Haris Rauf digs it in short, just outside off and cutting back in. Babar Azam goes early on the pull, and that’s where it all falls apart, no pace on it, no timing either. It sneaks past the inside edge, keeps a touch low, and crashes into middle and leg. Knocked him over.
Peshawar Zalmi posted 199 for 4 in 20 overs after a strong batting effort despite early setbacks. Shaheen Afridi struck twice in the powerplay, removing James Vince and Kusal Mendis, but Babar Azam and Michael Bracewell rebuilt with control, keeping the scoreboard moving and punishing loose deliveries.
Babar brought up a fluent fifty before falling against the run of play, while Iftikhar Ahmed added quick runs with a brisk cameo of five boundaries. Bracewell stood out with a fluent 83 off 45 balls, driving the innings with inventive strokeplay.
With Lahore Qalandars’ bowlers inconsistent and giving away too many freebies on a sluggish pitch, Peshawar Zalmi finished strongly in control.
Chase is on at the Gaddafi Stadium as Lahore Qalandars begin their pursuit of 200. Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Naeem are out in the middle, with Fakhar taking strike against Khurram Shahzad, who has the new ball in hand. A big total to hunt down, and early intent will be key if the defending champions want to stay ahead of the game.
Khurram Shahzad drops it on a back of a length outside off, and Mohammad Naeem doesn’t hesitate. He picks the length early, gets into position, and launches it cleanly over deep mid-wicket. Right off the middle, all the way for six, a confident statement to kickstart the chase.
Ali Raza pitches it right in the slot outside off, and Fakhar Zaman makes it look effortless. He clears the front leg, gets under it cleanly, and launches it deep over cow corner. Pure timing, pure power, that’s out of the ground. Fifty up for Lahore Qalandars, and the chase is well and truly igniting.
Ali Raza goes full, and Abdullah Shafique is already in rhythm. He shuffles across, opens the face looking to pierce the covers, but it takes the outer half and flies away past the infield.
Third man dives near the rope but can’t get there in time. Four more, and this over is turning into a costly one, 22 off it, momentum fully with Lahore Qalandars now.
Iftikhar Ahmed strikes! Abdullah Shafique dances down the track, looks to go big across the line but doesn’t quite get the timing right on the in-drifter.
It’s mistimed straight out towards deep mid-wicket where Sufiyan Muqeem stays composed near the boundary and takes a clean catch without fuss. Huge breakthrough right when Shafique was threatening to take the game away. Iftikhar is fired up, and Lahore Qalandars lose a well-set batter.
Iftikhar Ahmed floats one in at 103kph, landing it on a good length around off, but Charith Asalanka is ready for it. He drops low into his stance, brings out the sweep with precision, and sends it racing through mid-wicket. Clean execution, no fuss at all, just pure timing and placement. Another boundary added as Lahore Qalandars keep the pressure on the chase.
Charith Asalanka departs after playing a cameo of 33 runs. He got foxed by a slower one from Ali Reza and found the extra cover fielder. Wanted to clear long-off but didn't get the best of connections. Sikandar Razan comes to the crease and joins a well-set Fakhar Zaman who brings up his half-century in the 15th over. Qalandars still in track for the chase.
Some fantastic striking from Daniel Sams and Lahore Qalandars can see light at the end of the tunnel. The target is in their reach now and they can control their way to to victory. Found an easy target in Mohammad Basit and scalped 20 runs of the over after he came to the crease following Sikandar Raza's dismissal. Raza looked dangerous as well before being cleaned up by Sufiyan Muqeem. But Sams' late flourish almost decides the game.
Lahore Qalandars won by 6 wickets.
That’s a wrap on this one. We’ll be back soon with another live blog, until then, bye bye.
