Karnataka Vs Jammu and Kashmir, Ranji Trophy Final Day 1 Live: Today was the opening day of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 final between Karnataka and Jammu and Kashmir at the KSCA Hubbali Cricket Ground in Hubbali on Tuesday (February 24). won the toss and opted to bat first and are looking to post a mountain of runs on Karnataka in their first innings. Opener Qamran Iqbal looked nervy but the same couldn't be said about Yawer Hassan, Shubham Pundir, Paras Dogra and Abdul Samad. Hassan scored a brilliant 88, Pundir remained unbeaten after scoring a well-made century and so did Samad following his half-century. Paras Dogra had to retire hurt due to injury but he looked solid as well in his short stay. Prasidh Krishan scalped the only two wickets of the day. Drama in the third over of the day. Qamran Iqbal given caught behind by the on-field umpire but the batter survives after opting for DRS. Vidyadhar Patil's delivery from off, swung away and Qamran, who was committed to the push got off balance. Top over from Vidyadhar Patil and he troubled Yawer Hassan. First his ball drew and edge of Qamran Iqbal's bat but it dropped short from the slip. Once Yawer got on strike, Patil's channel bowling made him play and miss twice and both times, it could have been an edge. Jammu and Kashmir have looked nervous with the bat so far.

First wicket falls and it is Qamran Iqbal who departs. Prasidh Krishna shows his experience and class in just two balls. First over for him as the first change bowler, gets it to bounce on the off-stump line and Qamran ended up playing away from his body. The edge travels comfortably to KL Rahul stationed at the second slip. Crucial wicket for Karnataka.

After the fall of the first wicket in the 11th over, the two batters Subham Pundir and Yawer Hassan have stitched a steady partnership. It looked like might break when Shreyas Gopal hit the pads of Subham Pundir, but review showed Pundir hit the ball before it edged on to his pads. Karnataka keep searching for a breakthrough.
