Peshawar Zalmi posted a colossal 246/3, setting a record-breaking target for the Karachi Kings. After losing Mohammad Haris early, Kusal Mendis played a blinder, smashing 109 off 52 balls.
He was supported by skipper Babar Azam, whose elegant 87 saw him become the fastest player to reach 12,000 T20 runs.
A blistering cameo from Abdul Samad (40* off 12) added late fireworks, leaving Karachi’s bowlers shell-shocked. Abbas Afridi managed two wickets but conceded 55 runs as Zalmi’s power-hitting took total control of the first innings.

The chase has went nowhere for Karachi Kings as they lost their sixth wicket. Sufiyan Muqeem is the one who strikes this time, cleaning up Azam Khan. Azam was trying to keep Kings in the game give the power he has against spin. But he played around the ball trying to flick and the ball ricochets to the stumps.
Nahid Rana has scalped two wickets in one over dismissing Khushdil Shah and Adam Zampa. In the next over Sufiyan Muqeem doubled it up by getting Abbas Afridi holed out in the long off area. Karachi Kings are now staring at a massive defeat with only one wicket in hand. Nahid Rana followed it double wicket over with a one run over.
A comprehensive 159-run victory for Peshawar Zalmi. They produced a record-breaking performance with the bat in hand and then followed it up with a tight bowling performance. Nahid Rana starred with the ball in hand as he scalped 3 wickets and so did Sufiyan Muqeem. Rana and Muqeem made sure they broke the back of the chase and Karachi Kings crumbled for only 87. Earlier, Kusal Mendis shined with the bat scoring a brilliant century and he got strong support from Babar Azam. The duo helped Zalmi put up a strong 246. With this result, the unbeaten run of Karachi Kings comes to an end.
