Hyderabad Kingsmen (HYDK), who were having a forgetful season, got fourth time lucky as they beat Karachi Kings (KRK) by 4 wickets in match 20 of the Pakistan Super League 2026 at the National Stadium on Saturday, April 11.
The Kingsmen, who are playing their first season, lost their first four match but eventually managed to down the Karachi Kings, who were also coming into the match with a heavy 159-run defeat against Peshawar Zalmi in their last match.
After being put in to bat first, Karachi posted a competitive target of 189 runs on the back of blistering knocks by Saad Baig (53) and Moeen Ali (44). Hunain Shah was the highest wicket-taker for Hyderabad, picking three key wickets.
In response, Hyderabad chased down the total in 19.1 overs with 4 wickets in hand. Despite getting a decent start in the powerplay with 79 runs on board for the loss of only 1 wicket, the Kingsmen lost way in the middle, but Irfan Khan and Hassan Khan stitched a crucial 50-run unbeaten stand for the 7th wicket to take HYDK home and got them their first win of the season.
