A solid start goes begging for Uttar Pradesh. Openers Aryan Juyal and Abhishek Goswami laid a steady platform, but both fall in quick succession, halting the momentum. Dhruv Jurel and Priyam Garg are now unbeaten, tasked with rebuilding after Uttar Pradesh slip to 82/2 in 18.3 overs despite the promising beginning.
Dhruv Jurel and Priyam Garg turn the game on its head with a superb partnership, both bringing up well-made fifties to put Uttar Pradesh firmly in control. Auqib Nabi strikes twice late to break the stand, but Rinku Singh finishes strongly as UP cruise to 182/4 in 34.5 overs.
Rinku Singh and Sameer Rizvi finish the job in style. The duo accelerate smartly in the final phase, stitching an unbeaten stand to take Uttar Pradesh to 244/4 in 42 overs, with both batters striking at over a run-a-ball to put the side in a commanding position.
Uttar Pradesh finish with a flourish. Rinku Singh’s handy 41 comes to an end, but Sameer Rizvi takes over in stunning fashion, smashing an unbeaten 80 off 45. With Prashant Veer providing explosive support, UP surge to a commanding 322/5 in 48 overs.
Innings Break
A cautious but steady start from Jammu & Kashmir. Qamran Iqbal and Shubham Khajuria rotate the strike well and avoid risks, taking the score to 58 without loss in 13.2 overs as they look to build a solid platform.
We are just inside the 20th over, and Jammu and Kashmir have reached the 100-run mark. However, they lost the wicket of Iqbal in the 17th over, with the opener being run out at 32 by Kuldeep Yadav. Yawyer, the new batter, has played second fiddle the Khajuria, who reached his half-century and is batting at 60 off 57.
Jammu & Kashmir recover well after early setbacks. Shubham Khajuria anchors the innings with a composed 60, while Yawer Hassan keeps the momentum going with an unbeaten 41. Despite losing a few wickets in the middle, J&K move to 167/4 in 33.3 overs, staying in the hunt.
Wickets keep falling around Yawer Hassan, but he holds firm. The middle and lower order fail to build partnerships as Jammu & Kashmir slide to 177/6 in 36.4 overs, with Hassan unbeaten on 49 and trying to drag his side to a fighting total.
Yawer Hassan puts up a valiant fight with a superb 85, well supported by late cameos from Auqib Nabi and M Ashwin, but it’s not enough. Uttar Pradesh’s disciplined bowling in the death overs keeps Jammu & Kashmir in check, restricting them to 264/8. UP seal a comfortable 58-run victory, their earlier batting effort proving decisive in the end.
Thank you for joining.
