India women defeated Australia in the third and final T20I to clinch the three-match series by 2-1 at the Adelaide Oval on February 21, 2026.
After opting to bat first, India put on a decent 176/6 on the board on the back of a scintillating 82-run knock by Smriti Mandhana off 55 balls. She was well complemented by Jemimah Rodrigues, who played a handy knock of 59 runs off 46 deliveries.
Both the batters put on a mesmerising 121-run stand of 82 balls to take their team to a strong total on a tacky surface.
In response, Australia were restricted to 159/9 in 20 overs by Indian bowlers. The hosts got off to a flyer in the chase as they managed to get 18 from the first over of Renuka Thakur.
But Shreyanka Patil scalped two important wickets of Georgia Voll and Beth Mooney to get India back in the game, and soon Australia lost three top wickets in the powerplay. They couldn't come back from there and eventually lost the match by 17 runs.
Shreyanka Patil was the pick of the bowlers, scalping 3 crucial wickets to break the back of Australia's run-chase.
India women have won the toss and elected to bat first.
