Virat Kohli not only enteratined the fans with his rollikcing 55th ODI hundred but he turned the clock in the previous game in Thiruvananthapuram. The former Indian skipper smashed 9 sixes and 10 fours in his unbeaten knock of 139 to finish India's chase of 295.

Opting to bowl first, India were initially made to work hard as West Indies openers John Campbell (62) and Justin Greaves—who compiled a brilliant 101—put on a stellar 135-run partnership. However, wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav completely turned the tide in the middle overs, finishing with a sensational spell of 4/40 to restrict the visitors to 295/7.

In response, India chased down the target with absolute ease in 41.4 overs. Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a sublime 110, while Virat Kohli put on a masterclass, hammering an unbeaten 139 off just 88 balls—featuring nine maximums—to comfortably cruise the hosts to a 1-0 series lead.
