India are trailing by 1-2 in the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series against England after a close 22-run defeat in the third Test match at Lord's Cricket Ground on Monday.

Let's take a look at what happened on 15 July, which is related to India's tour of England 2025.

Ravindra Jadeja's 4th Consecutive 50

Ravindra Jadeja scored yet another half-century on Day 5 of the Lord's Test match in the ongoing series. The all-rounder reached his fifty off 149 deliveries with a boundary, marking his fourth consecutive half-century in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series.

This achievement marks the fourth time that Jadeja has scored four or more fifty-plus scores in Test cricket against England, tying the record previously set by former captain Sourav Ganguly in 2002. He is now one behind Rishabh Pant, who has accomplished this feat five times between 2021 and 2025.

India Lose Another Test

India suffered yet another Test match in the ongoing Test bilateral series against England at the Lord's after Ravindra Jadeja's heroics went in vain. He remained unbeaten as India lost all 10 wickets while chasing a 193-run target on the final day of the match.

India are trailing by 1-2 in the five-match series. The next match will start on Wednesday, 23 July at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester. India need to win that match to stay alive in the series.

Dawson Added To England Squad

England have called up Liam Dawson as a replacement for the injured Shoaib Bashir ahead of the fourth Test against India. Dawson last played a red-ball international in 2017. England currently leads the five-match series 2-1 after a dramatic 22-run victory in the third Test at Lord's, where Bashir was the standout player.

He sustained an injury to the little finger of his left hand while bowling on day three and took the crucial wicket of Mohammed Siraj during a tense moment on day five. However, Captain Ben Stokes later confirmed that Bashir had broken his finger and would miss the remainder of the series.

Gambhir's Coaching Record

India's men's cricket team has played 13 games under Gautam Gambhir's leadership. The team has secured four victories, faced eight defeats, and achieved one draw.

Under Shubman Gill's captaincy, the Indian team has performed creditably in the ongoing Test series in England. However, the team has faltered twice on the final day, in both the Leeds and Lord's Test matches.
