India Vs Australia Match Report, 2nd T20I: AUS Thrash IND By 4 Wickets After Head-Marsh Fireworks

Australia cruised to a dominant 4-wicket win over India in the 2nd T20I to take a 1-0 lead in the series. After winning the toss and opting to field first, Australia’s bowlers set the tone early with relentless discipline and bounce. Josh Hazlewood was exceptional with the new ball, bowling Test-match lines and conceding very little.

Indian batters had no answers against the Australian pacers. Abhishek Sharma and Harshit Rana were the only batters who were able to score runs. Abhishek continued his red-hot form and scored 68 runs while Rana also contributed with a gritty 35-run knock. Apart from them, the rest of the team were able to score only 22 runs.

In response, Australian openers Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh started the chase with a bang, punishing every Indian bowler. Jasprit Bumrah and Rana were ineffective in the powerplay. Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav provided crucial breakthroughs to the team.

Bumrah also managed to take a couple of wickets in the end but couldn't avoid the loss as the damage was already done initially. Hazlewood was named Player of the Match for taking three wickets at an economy rate of only 3.20.
