India will bowl first against Afghanistan in the second semi-final of the ICC U-19 World Cup at Harare Sports Club in Harare, Zimbabwe, today (February 4, 2026).

Despite losing the toss, India captain Ayush Mhatre said that he's "Really happy. Wicket looks good as well. The boys are doing really well, and we just need to play simple cricket and play to the potential."

India are unchanged from their Super 6 match against Pakistan, a virtual quarter-final which they won by 58 runs.

"We prepared well for this game, and hopefully we will make it to the final as well," said Afghan captain Mahboob Khan. "The wicket is good for batting, and it will offer some help for the bowlers as well."

India U-19 vs Afghanistan U-19: Playing XIs

India U-19 Playing XI: Aaron George, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Ayush Mhatre (c), Vedant Trivedi, Vihaan Malhotra, Abhigyan Kundu (wk), RS Ambrish, Kanishk Chouhan, Khilan Patel, Henil Patel, and Deepesh Devendran.

Afghanistan U-19 Playing XI: Osman Sadat, Khalid Ahmadzai, Faisal Shinozada, Uzairullah Niazai, Mahboob Khan (c & wk), Azizullah Miakhil, Abdul Aziz, Khatir Stanikzai, Roohullah Arab, Nooristani Omarzai, and Wahidullah Zadran.

India are the most successful team with five titles, last won in 2022, while Afghanistan's best finishes were fourth-place finishes in the 2018 and 2022 editions.

The winners of the India vs Afghanistan match will face England, who defeated holders and four-time champions Australia by 27 runs in the first semi-final.
