Team India have been reportedly jolted by the news that star pacer Jasprit Bumrah won't be available for selection for the second Test against England at Edgbaston in Birmingham, starting from June 2. As per reports, the 31-year-old will be rested for the game to manage his workload.

India vs England: Team India will be without the services of Jasprit Bumrah for the 2nd Test at Edgbaston, Birmingham
Indian coach Gautam Gambhir had stated that Bumrah will play on three Tests during the tour of England with the speedster prone to injuries.
Bumrah had sustained a back injury during the latter stages of the Australian series earlier this year, that saw him sit out on the final day of the series.
The 31-year-old had been India's star pacer during their five-wicket defeat at Headingley in Leeds. Bumrah picked up five wickets in the first innings but went wicketless in the second.
With the pacer now reportedly missing in Birmingham, it remains to be seen who will Gambhir and co opt for in the crucial second Test. The likes of Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh are part of the bowling cavalry but will have huge boots to fill if they are called up to the second Test.
After the 1st Test at Leeds, coach Gambhir had stated that India won't change the plan to to play Bumrah only in three Tests. The former Indian opener said, as quoted by BBC Sport.
"We won't change it. For us to manage his workload is more important. There is a lot of cricket going forward. Let's see how his body turns up. We haven't decided which two other matches he is going play."
The 2nd Test between England and India will start from Wednesday, July 2 at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
