Ashraf clears his leg and swings across the line and ends up getting an outside edge, while Pant makes no mistake and takes a safe catch. The umpire at first doesn't hear the edge but India takes a review and the technology clearly shows a deflection, ending Sharafuddin's stay at the crease.

It turned out to be a dream debut for Manav Suthar, who registered a six-wicket haul to his name in his very first test match, while Prasidh Krishna also shone with a three-for.

It will be a different challenge for Indian bowlers and fielders to replicate their first innings show with the ball again under the scorching heat of Mullanpur.

They'll have to take some occasional chances to put Indian bowlers under pressure.

It's been ten overs into the innings and they haven't still lost any wicket, with 30 runs on the board. While the pacers haven't been that effective yet, Manav Suthar is getting purchase from the wicket and has beaten the bat of both batters quite a few times but haven't got any success yet.

Siraj beat the bat of left-handed Sediqullah Atal quite a few times with his beautiful away swingers but wasn't able to get success but as soon as he comes against Abdul Malik he brings the ball in a ball sharpy that thudded into Malik's pads, resulting in his dismissal.

After losing the wicket of Abdul Malik, Sediqullah Atal (37*) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (23*) have stitched an unbeaten 2nd wicket stand of 28 runs. Gurbaz smacked Kuldeep Yadav for a boundary and a six to convey that Afghanistan batters won't go down without putting up a fight.

Just as it was looking that Afghanistan batters are finding their feat on the ground with a partnership between Sediqullah Atal and Rahmanullah Gurbaz but they made a mess of the foundation by losing back-to-back wickets in an effort to be aggressive. While Gurbaz skied a loopy full ball into the hands of long-on fielder, Rahmat Shah tried to clear a wide mid-off fielder but ended up giving a straightforward catch to him.

It was a tossed up delivery by Washington Sundar inviting Atal, who took the bait and tried to loft it over covers fielder but the ball dropped in front of him and spun, resulting in the batter getting a thick edge into the hands of backward point fielder.

Afghanistan resume under pressure after losing wickets in a cluster during the afternoon session. Omarzai joins Zazai at the crease as they look to delay the inevitable, while Manav Suthar has the ball in hand to begin the final session.
Afsar Zazai is trapped plumb in front after being brilliantly set up by the debutant spinner. After teasing him with flight, Suthar fires one through quicker, catching Zazai rooted to the crease. The ball beats the inside edge and crashes into the front pad, with ball-tracking confirming three reds. Zazai departs for 8, and Suthar now has seven wickets in the match as India move another step closer to wrapping up Afghanistan's innings.
Washington Sundar joins the party as Azmatullah Omarzai holes out trying to take the aggressive route. The all-rounder goes for a slog sweep against the flighted delivery but only manages to sky it towards deep field. Kuldeep Yadav keeps his composure near the boundary and completes a safe catch. Afghanistan are falling apart, and India are now firmly on course to finish the job today.

Kuldeep Yadav wraps it up in style! Saleem Safi falls first ball, miscuing a slog against a cleverly disguised googly, with Sai Sudharsan taking a simple catch at cover. Sharafuddin Ashraf is unable to bat, and that signals the end of the contest. India seal a crushing innings-and-300-run victory, completing a dominant all-round performance in the one-off Test.
