Mumbai are off to a cautious start against Goa after being put in to bat first first. Both the openers - Yashasvi Jaiswal and Angkrish Raghuvanshi are solid batters and will look to see off the initial phase of the match that will assist the pacers as there is moisture on the wickets initially during this season.
Mumbai lost their 1st wicket in the form of Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who was dismissed by Koushik V for 11. Musheer Khan (6*) joins Yashasvi Jaiswal (23*) on the crease.
After losing an early wicket, MUM batters are now settling down on the crease. Both Yashasvi Jaiswal (29*) and Musheer Khan (26*) will be eyeing big scores as they have now overcomes the testing initial phase.
Mumbai have crossed the 100-run mark in the twentieth over and have lost only 1 wicket. Yashasvi Jaiswal (46*) is going towards his half-century, who is very well complemented by Musheer Khan (38*).
Musheer Khan has reached to his half-century and is currently not out at 51 runs in 55 balls. He is very well complemented by his brother Sarfaraz Khan who have showing aggressive intent since he has arrived on the crease and has reached to 31 in just 19 deliveries, hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes.
Both Musheer Khan and Sarfaraz Khan have take Mumbai to a solid position after 30 overs against Goa. Sarfaraz Khan has taken the Goan bowlers to cleaners with his impeccable hitting. He has raced past to 67 in just 36 balls and is well complemented by Musheer Khan (60*).
Sarfaraz Khan is on fire today taking the Goa bowlers to cleaners. He has slammed a hundred in just 56 balls and in currently playing 145 in just 71 deliveries. MUM has crossed the 300-run mark in just 40 overs and will be eyeing 400 if Sarfaraz plays the remaining 10 overs
Mumbai finally finished their innings at 444/8 in 50 overs. Sarfaraz Khan stole the show with his blistering 157 off just 75 balls. He was also complemented well by Musheer Khan (60) and Hardik Tamore (58) to take MUM to such a massive total against Goa.
Goa begins their mammoth chase of 445 runs against a strong Mumbai bowling attack. Arjun Tendulkar (23*) and Kashyap Bakle (3*) gives a decent start to Goa especially Tendulkar, who smashed some scintillating boundaries but they still have a mammoth task at their hands.
That's the last thing Goa would have wanted that they are 2 down within 10 overs with a run rate of less than 5 runs per over in a chase of 449 in 50 overs. Both the openers of Goa are back in the hut and they are in deep trouble against MUM.
After losing two back-to-back wickets, Goa's innings has started to gain momentum as both Snehal Kauthankar (25*) and Suyash Prabhudessai (14*) have stitched a brisk 40-run partnership for the 3rd wicket. However, they still have an uphill task at hand.
Goa are teetering at 112/3 after 21 overs. Suyash Prabhudessai (30*) and Lalit Yadav (12*) are at the crease for Goa and they still need 337 runs to win in 29 overs to win.
Goa suffer a setback with Suyash S Prabhudessai run out for a well-made 31 off 34, thanks to sharp work from substitute Suryansh Shedge. The dismissal halts Goa’s momentum just as the partnership was settling. However, Lalit Yadav continues to hold one end with a composed 23 off 31, while Abhinav Tejran has injected fresh energy, striking 24 off 24.
Lalit Yadav and Abhinav Tejrana have together stitched a 76-run partnership for the 5th wicket taking Goa's score tally to 196/4 in 36 overs. Despite the solid partnership between the two batters, Goa's chances of getting to the target within the stipulated overs looks very grim as they still need 253 runs in just 14 overs.
Goa have crossed the 300-run mark on the back of a scintillating ton by Abhinav Tejrana in just 70 balls. Despite a valiant batting effort from Abhinav, Goa are moving towards an inevitable defeat as they still need 135 runs in just 24 balls.
The match is over! Goa managed to score 357 runs in their quota of 50 overs and thus lost the match by 88 runs against a strong Mumbai side. Abhinav Tejrana (100) and Deepak Gaonkar (70) shine for Goa and got them to a respectable total to minimize the margin of defeats.
