Hello cricket fans! We're back with another live blog of the 3rd ODI between Bangladesh and Australia at the Shere Bangla Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka. Stay tuned for the live score and real-time updates of the match.
Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to bat first against Australia in the third ODI.
Australia: Cooper Connolly, Josh Inglis(w/c), Matt Renshaw, Marnus Labuschagne, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Oliver Peake, Xavier Bartlett, Ben Dwarshuis, Adam Zampa, Riley Meredith
Bangladesh: Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Soumya Sarkar, Najmul Hossain Shanto(c), Litton Das(w), Towhid Hridoy, Mosaddek Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Tanvir Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam
Bangladesh lose their first wicket and it's Soumya Sarkar, who was dismissed by Xavier Bartlett in the first over. Sarkar goes for an expansive drive and the ball took the inside edge and crashed into the stumps. Skipper Najmul Hasan Shanto joins Tanzid Shamim at the crease.
BAN 13/1 (4)
10 overs are done and while Bangladesh managed to maintain a healthy run-rate of over five runs per over but lost two wickets in doing so. Tanzid Hasan was the last batter to depart, who fell off the bowling of Matt Renshaw for 19. Bangladesh need a big partnership from two of their most solid batters - Najmul Hasan Shanto and Litton Das to build a strong base for a big first innings score.
BAN 53/2 (10)
Matt Renshaw strikes again and this time he takes the big wicket of skipper Najmul Hasan Shanto, who departs after scoring 24 runs off 50 balls. Renshaw bowled a full ball outside off and Shanto tried to drag the sweep and got the an inside edge into the stumps in the process with the ball. AUS are on top at the moment as they have managed to stifle the run-rate and take wickets while doing so.
BAN 68/3 (16)
Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy has stitched a small 40-run stand for the fourth wicket in an effort to stabilize Bangladesh's innings. While both batters are looking comfortable at the crease, the job is not close to done as their team need them to convert it into the a big one and build a strong base for the remaining batters to capitalize on.
BAN 101/3 (22)
The fourth wicket stand between Litton Das (45*) and Towhid Hridoy (28*) is now 78-run strong. Both batters have batted well to take their team out of a precarious position to a position from where they can think of a decent first innings total. How the job is still not done as one wicket could again open the gates. Bangladesh would want both these batters to bat till atleast 40 overs, so the remaining batters can bat freely in the last 10 overs.
BAN 140/3 (28)
Just as the partnership between Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy was moving towards the 100-run mark, the former underwent cramps and has left the field for good. Whether Litton Das comes back or not it remains to be seen but it's a setback for Bangladesh as both batters were looking comfortable on the crease and the hosts were looking well on course to a big first innings total.
BAN 158/3 (33)
Towhid Hridoy and Mosaddek Hossain are eyeing to steady ship in these middle-overs. Bangladesh are going at a steady rate and will not want to lose any more wickets at the death overs stage. Aussies need wickets and curb the run-rate of the home side.
BAN 172/3 (36)
Towhid Hridoy has grabbed his fifty as him alongside Mosaddek Hossain eye a big total and a big finish as nine overs remain in this 3rd ODI. The duo have put on a 50-plus run stand for the fourth wicket and are looking cool, calm and collective.
BAN 208/3 (41)
Bangladesh have amassed 242 in 45 overs as we expect fireworks from the home team as they still have seven wickets intact. Mosaddek Hossain and Towhid Hridoy will go after the AUS bowlers with the latter still not able to find the breakthrough.
BAN 242/3 (45)
A formidable score posted by Bangladesh against Australia in the 3rd ODI. Towhid Hridoy (83), Litton Das (58 not out) and Mosaddek Hossain (56 not out) take the hosts to a big total of 274 in 50 overs. Big innings from Mosaddek in the end as he hammered the Aussie bowlers to all corners.
Cooper Connolly and Josh Inglish are opening the innings for AUS as they eye a fast start against BAN bowlers. Nahid Rana has tormented the visitors with pace and bounce but the visitors will look to thwart that attack in the 3rd ODI.
AUS: 30/0 (3 Overs)
BAN: 274/5 (50 Overs)
Shoriful Islam struck twice in the over to leave Aussies stuttering in the run-chase. Shoriful sent back Josh Inglis and then Matt Renshaw as BAN clawed their way back in the match.
AUS: 44/2 (6 Overs)
BAN: 274/5 (50 Overs)
Cooper Connolly is at the crease and is single-handedly batting for AUS in this game as he loses out of partners at the other end. Bangladesh have heaped more pressure on the visitors as the AUS side are in danger of losing three matches in a row.
AUS: 70/3 (11 Overs)
BAN: 274/5 (50 Overs)
Cooper Connolly is on the field and its vital for AUS that he remains there till the 30th over max. Bangladeshi bowlers have upped the pressure on the Aussie batters and the latter are finding it hard to score runs.
AUS: 81/3 (15 Overs)
BAN: 274/5 (50 Overs)
Great bit of innings from Cooper Connolly as he reached his first fifty on Bangladesh soil with the Aussies still way off the BAN target. Connolly is at the crease with Marnus Labuschagne and the duo need to steady ship.
AUS: 100/3 (19 Overs)
BAN: 274/5 (50 Overs)
Great fightback from the Aussies with Marnus Labuschagne and Cooper Connolly keeping them alive in the run-chase. Both the batters are fighting tooth and nail as they look to chase down a formidable target.
AUS: 130/3 (22 Overs)
BAN: 274/5 (50 Overs)
Marnus Labuschagne had to depart after being dismissed by Shoriful Islam with the Bangladesh chipping away with important wickets. However Australia still have Cooper Connolly at the crease as the batter battles to chase down the score.
AUS: 154/4 (27 Overs)
BAN: 274/5 (50 Overs)
Maiden ODI hundred for Cooper Connolly as he leads AUS's chase against BAN in Dhaka. This has been a sensational innings of the highest order with Connolly taking the fight back to the home side.
AUS: 178/4 (30 Overs)
BAN: 274/5 (50 Overs)
What a knock from Cooper Connolly today! The Aussie batter has kept his side alive in the run-chase and single-handedly driving them towards the formidable target posted by Bangladesh.
AUS: 185/4 (32 Overs)
BAN: 274/5 (50 Overs)
Australia need 75 runs in 90 balls with Cooper Connolly still at the heart of the run-chase for the Aussies. This has been a gritty knock, given the weary conditions in Dhaka.
AUS: 200/4 (35 Overs)
BAN: 274/5 (50 Overs)
Australia are edging towards victory and a deserved one with Cooper Connolly at the heart of it. The Aussies will avoid a whitewash if they manage to reach the target and gain morale-boosting victory.
AUS: 220/5 (40 Overs)
BAN: 274/5 (50 Overs)
Seven wickets down as things get bit interesting in Dhaka. BAN need few more wickets to make this chase spicy with Cooper Connolly still hanging around on 149.
AUS: 267/7 (46 Overs)
BAN: 274/5 (50 Overs)
Some finish here in Dhaka. Australia need three runs off the final over whereas Bangladesh need a wicket to seal a memorable win and close out the series 3-0.
