MotoGP 2025: Marquez Secures Second Title At Americas GP
Spaniard Álex Márquez continued his impressive start to the 2025 MotoGP season as he secured second place at the Americas Grand Prix to move top of the championship standings. The weekend started well for Márquez as he claimed second place in Saturday’s sprint race, finishing less than a second behind brother Marc. The Gresini Racing rider then impressed in qualifying as he grabbed a spot on the front row after setting the third fastest time of the day. The race was then turned on its head at the halfway stage when Marc crashed out, with Bagnaia taking full advantage and moving into first place. The Italian would hold on for first place, with Alex finishing well clear of Fabio di Giannantonio to ensure he took the lead in the championship standings.
