Manny Pacquiao Vs Mario Barrios: Filipino Legend Fails To Win WBC Welterweight Title As Fight Ends In Majority Draw
Manny Pacquiao failed to win the WBC Welterweight Title as his fight against Mario Barrios on Saturday, 19 July 2025 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas ended in a majority draw. Making his comeback to the ring after four years, the 48-year-old Filipino legend started well in the early rounds, using his pace to get the better of Barrios. Pacquiao lasted the distance but could not secure what would have been a historic win. One judge ruled the fight 115-113 in Barrios’ favour, but the other two judges scored it 114-114, resulting in a majority draw and Barrios retaining his title.
