The viral video showing NCC cadets being thrashed with a stick while being forced to sit face down in muddy water emerged on Thursday. The Principal of Joshi Bedekar College has suspended the student involved

A day after a viral video showing NCC cadets being thrashed with a stick while being forced to sit face down in muddy water emerged, Principal of Joshi Bedekar College has suspended the student involved. "The person seen in the video beating students is not a teacher. We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour. The students who faced this should not be scared," she said.

"The action being extremely condemnable is neither a part of any NCC training or organised activity. The NCC is extremely disturbed at the fact that the perpetrator is a cadet or an ex-cadet as per the statement of the Principal of the said college. The student has been suspended by the College," Maharashtra NCC said in a tweet.
