Senior Congress leader and Chairperson of Indian National Congress, Sonia Gandhi, was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in the national capital on Sunday night. According to an official statement released by the hospital, the 78-year-old leader is currently under observation in the gastroenterology department and is being treated for a stomach-related issue.

This is not the first time Gandhi has sought medical attention for similar concerns. In February this year, she had been hospitalised at the same facility due to stomach-related issues. Most recently, she also underwent routine medical check-ups at a hospital in Shimla after reportedly experiencing high blood pressure.
A veteran leader of the Indian National Congress, Sonia Gandhi has, in recent years, reduced her public appearances due to health-related reasons. Party sources indicate that her current condition is stable, though she continues to remain under careful medical supervision.
