Rahul Gandhi Gets Notice To Vacate Government Bungalow By April 22

Following his conviction and sentencing in a 2019 defamation case, Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as a Member of Parliament on Friday

After being disqualified as a member of the parliament, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been asked to vacate his government bungalow within a month. 

Gandhi was allotted the 12, Tughlaq Lane bungalow after his election as a Lok Sabha MP in 2004. The notice to Gandhi was served by the Housing Committee of the Lok Sabha.

Following his conviction and sentencing in a 2019 defamation case, Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as a Member of Parliament on Friday. The Lok Sabha Secretariat in its notification said that Rahul stands disqualified from March 23, the date he was convicted and sentenced.
