Sushil Thekriwal, the lawyer who is representing Pradyuman Thakur’s family, has claimed that he and with his wife were attacked by the Delhi police on Saturday.

Thekriwal identified the Delhi Police cop as Sanjeev Singh Yadav, from his name plate on his uniform.
According to India Today, the incident took place at 8:30pm when the counsel had gone to Ashoka Hotel in national capital’s Chankyapuri area with his family for dinner. Thekriwal also alleged that the cop who assaulted him also threatened him to leave the murder case.
Pradyuman, a Class 2 student of Gurgaon's Ryan's International School, was found dead with his throat slit by a sharp-edged weapon on the morning of September 8.
Thekriwal identified the Delhi Police cop as Sanjeev Singh Yadav, from his name plate on his uniform. Following the incident, Thekriwal wrote a letter to the Commissioner of Police, and narrated his ordeal.
“A constable put his gun towards us and Inspector Yadav groped me, attacked me, assaulted me, thrashed me, kicked from inside by butt and boot and I was down on the earth and attempted to kill from the gun. He screamed that both of us will be killed since we are dealing with Ryan Murder Case/Pradhyumn Case and threatened to leave the case otherwise we will be subjected to dire consequences,” India Today quoted statements from his letter.
The Delhi police have issued a statement stating that Sushil Tekriwal was breaching the area during VVIP movement and when he was asked to wait for a few minutes he misbehaved with the police, it reported.
Last month, Barun Chandra Thakur, father of Pradyuman, alleged that Haryana minister Rao Narbir Singh asked him not to insist on a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe.
The minister, however, dismissed the claim as “baseless”.
Thakur said the minister told him a CBI inquiry would take minimum one year to conclude and that he should trust the state police’s investigation.
Tekriwal said: “Barun told me that the minister and the father of the accused student are very close to each other.” The minister, however, denied he knew the family of the Class 11 student, who was recently apprehended by the CBI in connection with the killing.
