On Sunday, July 6, BJP national president and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda virtually inaugurated six new BJP district offices across Delhi and Haryana. The event coincided with the birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, which Nadda described as a significant and emotionally important day for the party.

Addressing BJP workers and leaders, Nadda said Dr. Mookerjee never clung to positions of power but remained committed to his ideological convictions throughout his life. “He never compromised on his beliefs. India will always remain indebted to him, especially for his role in ensuring that West Bengal remained a part of the country,” he added.

Nadda also highlighted India’s national security strategy under the current government, referencing the 2016 surgical strikes and the 2019 Balakot airstrikes as examples of a firm stance against cross-border terrorism.

Referring to the April 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians, Nadda said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised a response “beyond imagination,” which resulted in Operation Sindoor, a cross-border operation that, according to the government, destroyed nine terrorist camps in Pakistan.

He also congratulated BJP workers for helping the party form a government in Delhi after 27 years and for securing a third consecutive term in Haryana.
